As if pre-ordained, on 10th July 2011 baby Thomas James was born to Ian & Catherine, just a year and a day after his paternal grandmother passed away. Gill would have been so pleased and proud, she was desperate to be a grandmother. Already I feel pretty useless - what do grandparents do? - she would have known just what to do and how to help. Yet again I feel her loss so painfully, and feel angry at all she is missing.
